I.Background of Capilano University

Established in 1968, Capilano is one of the oldest public schools in British Columbia. Know as its excellent training motto and creative encouragement. Capilano University committed to the success of students.

Students will be taught by professors with practical experiences with their expertise. The broad relationship of professors in the economy will provide the opportunity for students to not only to learn theories but also to be exposed to the actual environment. In Capilano, the average class’s number was 26 students. With small class sizes, classroom interactions will be pushed to higher, and students will be more supportive and interested.

With a history of nearly 50 years of establishment and development. The university has been renamed from Capilano College into Capilano University in 2008, developing a public university training on 8,2000 students, including more than 1,100 international students from 74 different countries in the world.

The school offers Bachelor’s degrees, Science and Arts transfer program, training and career orientation programs, English as a second language training program. The curriculum here is extremely diverse with more than 130 programs of the faculties such as Arts; Science and engineering, business, education, tourism management, communication, law, health,…Capilano University diploma is recognized and easily transfer to study at universities in Canada and International Universities. 



1.Convenient location

Capilano University is located at 2055 Purcell Way,  North Vancouver, BC V7J 3H5, Canada. Capilano has 3 campuses, one in North Vancouver is a steep area with a temperate climate such as Đà Lạt of Việt Nam. It takes only 20 minutes to go downtown Vancouver, an office in Squamish and one at Sechelt mainly serving the student union at  Howe Sound and Sunshine Coast.

Vancouver is a multi-cultural city with more than half of its residents having “ the first language” not English. There are many Asians who live here, with 25% of the Chinese who consider Chinese as their native language. Vancouver’s Chinatown is the 3rd largest Chinatown in North America. Vietnamese is also wildly spoken in the city.

Vancouver is also a suitable city for everyone who prefers outdoor activities. It has Stanley Park- one of the three largest parks in North America. The Vancouver Aquarium is located just inside the park and is the largest oceanographic in the country with more than 70000 marine creatures to explore. In summer, Vancouver will take place on the annual Sharkspear festival or “Bard on the Beach” in Vanier Park.
